Operation

When an overload occurs, the motor current rises above the set rated current, heating the integrated bimetal element and causing the device to trip through thermal-magnetic operation. For short-circuit conditions, the electromagnetic release provides instantaneous protection at 16 A. The rotary operating mechanism allows manual on/off operation with clear position indication and trip status display. The adjustment dial enables precise setting to motor FLA (Full Load Amperage). The built-in test function enables verification of overload release operation without electrical load. The device features phase loss sensitivity for enhanced motor protection. After tripping, the device must be manually reset by moving the rotary switch to OFF position before reclosing.
