Operation

When an overload occurs, the motor current rises above the set rated current, heating the integrated bimetal element and causing the device to trip through thermal-magnetic operation. For short-circuit conditions, the electromagnetic release provides instantaneous protection at 65 A. The rotary operating mechanism allows manual on/off operation with clear position indication and trip status display. The adjustment dial enables precise setting to motor FLA (Full Load Amperage). The built-in test function enables verification of overload release operation without electrical load. The device features phase loss sensitivity for enhanced motor protection and provides over-current protection for both AC and DC motors up to 5 AMPS. After tripping, the device must be manually reset by moving the rotary switch to OFF position before reclosing.
