This Electronic-Key adapter connects Euchner Electronic-Key transponder keys to a PROFIBUS DP network, allowing key-based access and operating mode data to be read into the control system via a D-Sub 9-pin socket. Status LEDs indicate key presence in the actuating range, operational state and error conditions. The unit mounts on the front of a panel within a 33 x 68 mm cut-out, offers IP67 protection on the access side once installed, and is housed in a PA6-GF30 enclosure suited to an ambient temperature range of 0 to 55 °C. It is typically used in safety automation applications where controlled, identity-based access to machinery or panels is required.
