This inductive proximity sensor detects metallic targets without physical contact, at a sensing distance of 8 mm, and provides an NPN normally open output for signalling to a PLC or control circuit. Housed in an M18 brass body with an M12 connector, it is flush mountable and rated IP65, IP67 and IP69K, allowing use in washdown or contaminated industrial environments. It operates from 12–48 VDC across an ambient temperature range of -25°C to +70°C, suiting applications such as machine positioning and metal part detection on production equipment.
